An immersive, sci-fi thriller LARP
The call comes at an inconvenient hour.
Not late enough to feel dramatic, but not early enough to be a mistake.
Your phone rings once. Then again. A number you don’t recognize — but somehow already know.
When you answer, there are no pleasantries.
You are told to pack for field deployment. Cold weather gear. Waterproofs. Sturdy boots. Nothing you can’t afford to lose. You are told not to discuss this with anyone outside your clearance. You are told transport details will follow.
You are not asked if you are available
Within the hour, a secure envelope is waiting for you. Inside: a laminated badge bearing a codename, a sealed briefing packet, and a single typed line
“Mission Designation: RW–96. Location: Bannau Brycheiniog.”
You are being deployed to a requisitioned facility near the Crychan Forest to establish a temporary operational base.
It is a local school.
From there, your task force will:
- Locate the missing research team or determine their fate
- Secure the survey site and any materials left behind
- Assess whether the incident warrants further escalation
- Coordinate with local authorities through Liaison channels
- Prevent speculation, interference, or media attention
